Opportunity:  
 Hired Jeffrey Fleischman as chief marketing and digital officer, who’s tasked with bringing the producer-driven 168-year-old brand to younger and more diverse producers and consumers. Engaging millennials is a big part of the 10-year strategic marketing plan Penn Mutual built in 2010. Over that time, the company has achieved record growth and now plans to amplify efforts to attract younger associates and clients. Given Fleischman’s expertise, digital is certainly top-of-mind but it goes hand-in-hand with on-the-ground sponsorship executions. Party City looks to raise e-commerce sales following IPO

Opportunity: 
Following its IPO, Party City’s immediate growth strategy is focused on increasing e-commerce sales, which includes the retail and wholesale business.  Party City’s website will be one of its key marketing vehicles in 2015, specifically as it relates to social media initiatives. Therefore, look to secure digital ad spend around Halloween and other major holidays. Note that Party City hasn’t spent much on digital in the past, but that’s changing. On the Brink: Carbonite hires new CMO to lead SMB shift

Opportunity:   Appointed Nina McIntyre as CMO to lead global marketing strategy, as part of a larger executive shakeup after the hire of Mohamad Ali, president and CEO, in December. This comes as Carbonite continues the shift away from consumers to SMBs that we told you about last year. The medical vertical has been performing well, and legal, finance and state and local government are showing “meaningful traction,” Ali said during the Q1 earnings call.
